Ellen, the sole owner of Designed Reflections has been involved in art and creativity in its many different forms. First, a home economics and art teacher, then creating artistically embellished tees and tanks, cigar box handbags, and jewelry. Knitting, sewing, painting and entertaining with style were always passions. About ten years ago, it was back to school to get a new degree, this time in graphic design, where part of the training was photography. Since then much time has been spent developing invitations and stationery. Ellen has paid much attention to detail, developing each design with a sense of individual style. The florals combine her love for photography, nature and color. The other designs have stemmed from her hobbies. More recently while entertaining, Ellen came up with the idea of transforming an average table setting into an oasis in bloom, simply by using her eye popping floral designs as "food coasters." These have since been manufactured and can be used for individual bread-and-butter plates, hors d'oeuvres, dessert plates, or as doilies or coasters for non food items such as candles, glasses, wine glasses, wine bottles, vases and condiment jars.
